In one way or another we have all been touched by Cancer. Hey It's Jackson, while I have been blessed to have a very healthy family, I can't say the same for my friends. A woman who was beautiful, driven, and smart. Someone who you would look to and say ... "How does she do it" She had just graduated law school and was taking the bar exam for the first time when she got the call. Her long term boyfriend was there for her every step of the way. She faught hard .. and won... The first time around. I remember telling her how amazing her hair looked short. Little did I know how proud she was to have grown her own hair back to even that length.  A year goes by and doctors cleared her.

Within the next year her boyfriend now turned husband had also taken a job in a law firm. He was call was called by his wife., one morning .. she had called out of work that day. She thought she may have had the flu or a cold as she had a fever and was coughing. As her tempeture rose she decided to go to the hospital. Within 2 hours of arriving at the hospital the doctor came into her room to tell her and her husband the horrible news. That the cancer had spread into her lungs.  The doctor explained that while intense treatment would be needed he alerted them that the survival rate is very low regardless. With only weeks predicted for her to live her husband stayed by her side every moment. The love and dedication they each had for each other was inspiring. This wonderful woman and friend was a role model for many. We all have someone in our life we look up to. Take the Massey Challenge with me, for our friends.
